    Core Responsibilities
  • Process Analysis: Collaborate with team members to understand current intake workflows and identify how resources are deployed based on intake information.
  • Solution Design: Devise an improved intake process using NLP and machine learning algorithms to favorably impact child outcomes and resource allocation.
  • Data Mapping: Determine how internal data sources may shift with future IT modifications and adjust the proposed process accordingly.
  • Prototyping: Build a demonstrable prototype application using Python, C++, Java, and/or SQL.
  • Model Validation: Conduct preliminary and final design reviews, ensuring data protection (especially if using LLMs) and validating the application's efficacy with stakeholders.
  • Testing & Integration: Create data hosting solutions (simulated or state-provided), integrate the POC with data sources, and conduct rigorous functional validation.
    Required Experience & Skills
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience in software development using Python, C++, Java, and SQL.
  • Data Science Expertise: Proven track record in developing and testing statistical models and integrating NLP methods.
  • Database Management: Experience with Postgres or similar relational databases.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to quantify the impact of new technology on organizational outcomes and resource reduction.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
  • Professional Level: Advanced career level with the ability to work independently in an Agile-style environment.
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Human Services or Child Protection technology sectors.
  • Strong communication skills for conducting one-on-one efficacy demonstrations with non-technical stakeholders.
