Director of HR Operations & Compliance - Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care
About Bravo Care
Bravo Care is a gig-economy healthcare marketplace connecting skilled nursing facilities and long-term care providers with the clinical workforce they need to deliver quality care. Facilities can match with CNAs, LPNs, and RNs across multiple states. Our success depends on getting credentialing, onboarding, payroll, and compliance right - for every clinician, every shift.
About the Role
We are hiring a Director of HR Operations & Compliance to own these connected areas: oversight of our offshore operations teams, audit and adjudication of clinician compliance issues, state-by-state credentialing knowledge that keeps our placements legal and our clients confident, and other HR matters.
This person reports directly to the CEO and serves as the connective tissue between our offshore teams (payroll, nurse onboarding, customer support), our clinical workforce, and our internal leadership. You will be the person who knows, definitively, what the rules are and whether we are following them.
What You'll Do
- Offshore Team Oversight
- Serve as the primary point of contact and accountability for three offshore teams: payroll, nurse onboarding, and customer support.
- Audit each team's work on a recurring basis. Surface quality issues, track resolution, and drive performance improvements.
- Translate priorities, process changes, and compliance updates from US leadership to offshore teams clearly and consistently.
- Build the SOPs, quality controls, and reporting that make offshore work measurable and improvable.
- Clinician Compliance & Background Checks
- Review and adjudicate clinician background checks, particularly when a clinician has a criminal record.
- State-by-State Credentialing
- Build and maintain working knowledge of CNA, LPN, and RN credentialing requirements across every state where Bravo Care operates.
- Be aware of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), and related regulations. Track changes in Nursing Home regulations for each state, as well as CMS.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on license verification, multi-state reciprocity, and state-specific requirements for nursing home healthcare professionals
- HR Operations
- Oversee payroll, customer support, and onboarding operations performed by the offshore team. Identify and resolve recurring errors.
- Own HR policy administration, employee relations escalations, and workplace investigations for the US team as needed.
- Stay current on CMS regulations affecting SNFs, state survey processes, and fair-chance hiring laws.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning, compliance risk, and operational improvements.
- Help process payroll for full time employees and set up new tax ID’s for new states we expand to.
- What You Bring (Required)
- Skilled nursing or long-term care HR experience is non-negotiable. You must have 4+ years of HR experience either inside a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care provider, or a healthcare staffing company serving SNF/LTC clients. The regulatory landscape and operational rhythm of this industry are too specific to learn on the job.
- 7+ years of total HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team-oversight role.
- Hands-on experience with clinician credentialing for CNAs, LPNs, and/or RNs across at least one state. Working knowledge of the Nurse Licensure Compact and state-specific licensure variations.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing background checks and making placement decisions involving criminal records, in compliance with state and federal fair-chance hiring laws.
- Coaching, auditing, and holding offshore teams accountable to quality standards.
- Strong understanding of multi-state payroll, employment compliance, and HR administration.
- Track record of building processes, audits, and quality controls — not just executing existing ones.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred
- Direct familiarity with CMS regulations, state survey processes, and F-tags affecting SNFs.
- Prior experience at a healthcare staffing or nursing home/ skilled nursing facility corporation.
- What We Offer
- Direct reporting line to the CEO and high visibility across the company. Your decisions will materially affect placement velocity, client retention, and clinician experience.
- Fully remote, work-from-anywhere-in-the-US flexibility.
- A role with real ownership and impact at a growing healthcare company.
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and unlimited PTO.
Pay: $70,217.92 - $84,563.52 per year
- Benefits:
- Dental insurance
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Vision insurance
