- As an Education Certification Evaluator, you will be reviewing educator certification applications and providing assistance to applicants and education partners to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and required procedures. You will perform the following duties:
- Application Review: Evaluate certification applications, test scores, coursework, and experience for compliance with rules
- Certification Approval: Approve applications, issue certifications, and request missing information when needed
- System Tracking: Monitor pending applications in the Teacher Information Management System and communicate with schools
- Inquiry Support: Respond to daily questions from educators and guide them through the certification process
- Call Center Duties: Staff the Certification Call Center to provide information and assistance to callers
- Website Assistance: Help users navigate PDE systems, report issues, and support problem resolution efforts

- Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of clerical experience with three months experience in direct data entry/retrieval on a computer terminal and six months experience with educational credential certification laws, rules, and regulations; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
