- What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide project support for program requirements related to the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and Emerging Contaminants in Small or Disadvantaged Communities Grant (EC-SDC)
- Review and approve project compliance and eligibility determinations for SRF and EC-SDC projects
- Maintain project plans and prioritize projects under the DWSRF
- Coordinate with RIDOH engineers, state agencies, and public water systems to facilitate program implementation
- Assist in developing guidance, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation to enhance program efficiency
- What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, one of the Social Sciences, or a closely related field
- Experience in program development within a human services context
- Thorough knowledge of program planning and development principles
- Ability to evaluate existing programs and develop plans for improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with various stakeholders
- How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working with state agencies or community organizations in a public health context
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding drinking water quality
- Skills in project management and strategic planning
- Ability to mentor staff and support process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of community resources and their interrelationships
