  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and recommending products to meet their requirements
  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions, or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
  • Participate in sales promotions, events, and activities to drive sales growth and customer engagement
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products, services, and promotions to provide expert advice to customers
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • *Essential Qualifications:**
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet sales targets, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn about new products and services
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Experience working in a retail or sales environment
  • Knowledge of building materials, hardware, or a related field
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Basic computer skills and experience with point-of-sale systems
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
