We're seeking an experienced Customer Support & Shopify Admin Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. As a key member of our support team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing Shopify backend tasks, and collaborating with our internal team to ensure seamless client experiences. As a Customer Support & Shopify Admin Specialist, you'll be responsible for the following key tasks:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email, chat, and Shopify inbox in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage order updates, refunds, cancellations, and customer escalations with attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Handle customer support calls when needed using Google Meet, ensuring clear communication and resolution of issues
  • Track customer support tickets and escalate complex issues when necessary, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
  • Assist with Shopify backend tasks, including product uploads, basic edits, discount creation, customer account management, and more
  • Update customer profiles and orders when necessary, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Coordinate with our internal team to ensure client requests are handled promptly and efficiently
  • Help with basic store content updates, including titles, descriptions, and metafields
  • Monitor open orders, fulfillment, and delivery statuses, ensuring timely resolution of any issues
  • Provide light reporting on customer feedback and common support issues, helping us to identify areas for improvement
  • *Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Experience with Shopify (basic to intermediate backend use)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with a professional and friendly tone
  • Comfortable speaking with customers over Google Meet when necessary
  • Experience in customer support (email, chat, and calls)
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Fast response time during working hours, with updates expected
  • Proactive approach, suggesting improvements and taking initiative when necessary

While not required, the following skills and experience are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with e-commerce or Shopify agencies
  • Familiarity with tools like ClickUp, Slack, or Shopify admin messaging
  • Basic understanding of Shopify SEO, metafields, or apps (helpful but not required)

As a contract-to-hire employee, you'll start with a part-time schedule (10-20 hours/week) with potential to grow. We're looking for someone who can commit to long-term growth and be part of our team. Flexible hours are preferred, but some overlap with the PST timezone is required.
