- *Job Responsibilities:**
As an Experienced Customs Trade Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including clients, carriers, brokers, government agencies, and management at all levels.
- Process and manage customs clearance documentation, including import and export records, duty calculations, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments, including organization of paperwork, data entry, and communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams, divisions, and external partners to deliver high-quality service and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, including documentation, tracking, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to customs clearance and international trade.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
- *Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics, business, or international trade.
- At least 6 months of experience in a related field, preferably in customs clearance, logistics, or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, laws, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with customs clearance software and systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle high volumes of work and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- HS Certificate or GED.
- Industry experience in logistics, customs clearance, or international trade.
- Familiarity with Viewpoint, Office equipment (telephone, fax, scanner, printer, scanner).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience with remote work or virtual teams.
