As a Tax Technician I, you will play a critical role in supporting careerzynith's tax programs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and screening digital documents from careerzynith divisions and external partners
- Scanning/uploading files, manually entering data, and performing accuracy checks
- Creating and updating taxpayer accounts via registration and maintenance systems
- Reviewing documentation for use tax liability, tax exemptions, or missing information
- Generating and sending system-produced correspondence (emails or letters)
- Communicating with taxpayers via phone or email to resolve billing or compliance issues
- Maintaining virtual record folders and adhering to secure data storage procedures
- Using authorized systems to verify account accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with onboarding and guiding new remote team members
- *Minimum Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in accounting, business, or finance preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and web-based data systems
