  • *Job Summary:**

As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced safety professionals and contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of safety programs and initiatives across our fulfillment and logistics infrastructure. You will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and developing recommendations to improve workplace safety and efficiency. Your work will have a direct impact on the safety and well-being of our employees and customers, and you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Work with various Workplace Health and Safety Teams and other WHS interns on safety-related projects to identify and mitigate risks, improve safety procedures, and enhance overall workplace safety.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to support safety-related recommendations and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Assist in designing, building, improving, and innovating order fulfillment safety programs, projects, initiatives, and other elements of the Workplace Health & Safety organization across the three lanes (first mile, middle mile, and last mile) of careerzynith's fulfillment infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with other functional teams (Operations, RME, Central Teams, Human Resources, Transportation Operations, and others) in the planning and execution of safety-related projects.
  • Develop and expand your professional network by participating in WHS Intern activities and events.

  • *A Day in the Life:**

As a Workplace Health and Safety Specialist Intern, you will work full-time (40 hours a week) for 10 weeks during the summer of 2025. You will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our employees and customers. Your work will involve conducting research, analyzing data, and developing recommendations to improve workplace safety and efficiency. You will also have the opportunity to participate in WHS Intern activities and events, which will help you develop your professional network and skills.

  • *Onboarding and Training:**

As a new member of our team, you will undergo comprehensive onboarding and training, which will include:

  • OSHA10 certification
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification
  • Technical writing training
  • Introduction to project management training
  • *Basic Qualifications:**
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree with an expected completion date between December 2025 and August 2026
  • Strong communication skills; ability to comfortably interact with and influence stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project, Vizio, and Outlook
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
  • *Preferred Qualifications:**
  • Working towards a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field
  • Interest in or previous experience in safety-related employment
  • Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics, and/or fulfillment/distribution centers
  • *Compensation and Benefits:**
  • The base pay for this position ranges from $20.39/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $24.93/hr in our highest geographic market.
  • Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
