Fintech Product Manager / Systems Architect Needed

We are building LastPay, a structured vehicle hire-purchase platform for Nigeria that works in partnership with licensed Microfinance Banks (MFBs).

We are looking for a senior fintech product manager or business analyst to translate a real-world hire-purchase and credit workflow into clear, buildable system requirements.

This is not a UI/UX role and not a startup ideation role.

This is about process design, controls, and financial workflows.

What you’ll do

Break down the end-to-end hire-purchase lifecycle:

Customer application

KYC & income verification

Internal risk scoring

MFB credit approval

Dealer disbursement

Repayment tracking

Default & repossession handling

Define:

User roles & permissions

Approval checkpoints

Required data at each stage

What is automated vs manual for a pilot

Produce:

Process flow diagrams

Functional requirements for a backend engineer

MVP scope (what is explicitly out of scope)

What we’re looking for

Proven experience with lending, leasing, hire-purchase, or loan management systems

Strong understanding of risk, controls, and auditability

Ability to think practically (banks - startups - design)

Nice to have

Experience with African fintech or microfinance

Familiarity with regulatory or bank review processes
