Overview
Join a fast-paced, rapidly scaling direct-response eCommerce and publishing brand as a Fractional Head of People / Talent Ops. We are a globally distributed team, driven by cutting-edge tech and AI, seeking a strategic leader to enhance our HR and recruiting infrastructure. This is a fully remote opportunity with a commitment of 15ā20 hours per week.
- Responsibilities
- Strategic Talent Acquisition & Systems
- Headhunt elite, highly autonomous "A-players" for key leadership and growth roles.
- Enhance internal recruiting engines by optimizing the careers page, LinkedIn presence, and job board distribution to increase qualified inbound leads.
- Implement AI-assisted screening systems to assist internal recruiters in evaluating candidates against strict rubrics before they reach the founders.
- Org Design, Compensation & Performance
- Develop standardized compensation philosophies linked to team performance and value.
- Establish clear salary bands and revise internal position titles.
- Implement company-wide performance systems, including End-of-Quarter (EOQ) reporting, standardized KPIs, and departmental scorecards.
- Remote Culture & Employee Lifecycle
- Create a world-class, automated onboarding experience, including 30/60/90-day check-ins, automated milestones, and distribution of company merch kits.
- Enhance cross-departmental communication through Town Halls/All-Hands meetings and recurring cross-team manager 1-on-1s.
- Standardize remote operations and "Slack Culture" with profile standards, channel consolidation, and clear communication guidelines.
- Qualifications
- Growth-Stage Veteran: Proven experience in building People Ops and Talent systems for fast-growing, bootstrapped, and 100% remote companies.
- High Agency & Low Ego: Ability to operate without a predefined playbook, assess rapidly changing environments, identify high-leverage fixes, and execute them proficiently.
- Tech & AI Native: Proficient in using modern tools and AI to enhance HR and recruiting efficiency.
- eCom/Direct-Response Familiarity (Bonus): Understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem, with insight into top-tier media buying, creative strategy, and engineering talent.
