Location: Remote within the US.
Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000 base + Bonus/Benefits
Requirements: Must have 7+ years of exp in Java,
Clearance: Must be eligible for Public Trust clearance

This team operates at the intersection of search, backend engineering, and DevSecOps, working with modern open-source technologies to deliver highly reliable, high-performance search capabilities in mission-critical environments.
The Position
We're looking for an experienced SolrCloud Backend Engineer to design, build, and support the backend services and custom components that power an enterprise SolrCloud search platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Java-based backend development, SolrCloud customization, search relevance tuning, and operating complex distributed systems at scale. You'll work closely with other engineers in an Agile environment, owning core pieces of the search stack from indexing through query execution and monitoring.
- Required Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of U.S.-based professional experience working hands-on with:
- Solr or SolrCloud
- Java backend development
- XML and XSLT
- Linux systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale systems in production
- Ability to troubleshoot backend and system-level issues
- Comfortable working on established platforms with long-term stability and ownership
- Must be eligible for Public Trust Clearance
