GIS/map support: Field maps

We have a quick turn requirement for generating field maps for scientific surveys on a rural property in Real County, Texas. You'll need access to ESRI products. We have two deliverables: (1) index/detail maps (please prioritize this) and (2) poster size map.

I. INDEX & DETAIL MAPS

Maps will need to be included as an ESRI map book with detail maps at 1:4000 scale. We will provide the following:

(1) kmz/kml study site boundaries

(2) GIS files (shp, kmz/kml, etc...) for other background information like streams, fence lines, easements, boundaries

(3) more detailed information on map titles, project name, etc...

Elements of the maps include:
• scale bars in both meters and feet
• 100-meter grids on the map
• Imagery as base map, ability to set the transparency/opacity so the maps aren't too dark.
• Contours (we may have this file, but should be available also at clearinghouse)
• Printable on 8.5x11 size paper

II. POSTER SIZE MAP

This is our "war map" and will help us plan each day. This map will be poster size showing the study areas, and overview so we can all stare at it.

III. DELIVERABLES

(1) please prioritize the index/field maps. We'll want the opportunity to provide a quick review.

(2) poster size map

(3) pdf versions of each map

(4) ESRI map package project

IV. Potential future support-- once the field work is complete, we'll reach out to you for future work (on a new job) to make our report maps with the field data on them.
