Software Engineering Associate Principal

Position Overview:

Evernorth Experience and Care Transformation team is looking for a highly experienced and visionary Associate Principal Architect to guide our company on strategic architecture decisions and provide expert advice that significantly impacts our strategic planning. The ideal candidate will design and develop IT architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with our enterprise architecture direction and standards. This role involves technical planning, architecture development, and the modification of specifications, with a focus on Digital, AI Agents, Packaged Business Capabilities, and Composable Architecture.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic architectural guidance and advice to influence the company's strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Architecture Design: Design and develop integrated IT architecture solutions (process, applications, data, and technology) to address business challenges.
Technical Planning: Perform technical planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications to meet business needs.
Product Development: Develop specifications for new products, services, applications, and service offerings.
Compatibility Assessment: Assess the compatibility and integration of proposed products/services to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies
Business Challenges: Anticipate internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues; recommend process, product, or service improvements.
Problem Solving: Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
Project Leadership: Lead cross-departmental project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.
Industry Authority: Represent the organization externally as a widely recognized architecture expert and thought leader.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership across major departments or multiple departments within a function.

Qualifications:

Generative AI & Agentic Architecture: Experience with generative AI and agentic architecture.
Digital, APIs and Capabilities: Deep understanding and experience in designing and implementing digital applications, Experience Capabilities and Composable Architecture.
Enterprise Architecture: Knowledge in enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
Evolutionary Design: Expertise evolutionary design principles to ensure systems can adapt to changing requirements.
Design Thinking: Proficiency in design thinking methodologies to drive innovative solutions.
Cloud Technologies: Extensive experience with AWS and various services.
Programming Languages: Proficiency in Golang, Typescript, and Python. Polyglot programming is a must.
Data Engineering: Strong background in data engineering practices and technologies.

Experience:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 16 years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 5 years of leadership roles.
Relevant certifications in AWS, architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), and other related areas are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Healthcare experience is a plus.

Location & Hours of Work
Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate. Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, with flexibility to work remotely as required.
