Role Description

As a Rx Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technician Representative, you will support Pharmacists and patients and report to a Clinical Programs supervisor. You will accomplish programs developed to improve overall health outcomes, focusing on prescription drugs and medication therapy. Additionally, you will help bring the strategy on comprehensive medication reviews and perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

    As a Rx Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technician Representative (Community Resource Specialist), you will work within the Maximize Your Benefits department. You will assist members by connecting them with a variety of financial assistance resources to help overcome cost barriers to affording their medication. Your responsibilities include:
  • Make outbound and take inbound calls
  • Communicate with Humana members
  • Collect medication history information
  • Prepare members for a comprehensive medication review
  • Use your skills to make an impact

    Qualifications
  • Resident State Pharmacy Technician License OR National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Speak both English and Spanish fluently
  • Applied knowledge of insurance processing, customer service or call center processes and practices
  • Must have a designated work area with a door that locks
    Requirements
  • Must work any hours between 8:00am-7:00pm EST and holidays/weekends and overtime.
  • You must be on time, dressed appropriately, with your camera ON during 2+ weeks of training and for other meetings required by leadership.
  • We do not permit time off during your 180-day appraisal period, as attendance is vital for success. Exception: Should a Humana-observed holiday occur during training or within the 180-day appraisal period, you will have the holiday off (paid).
    Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Mail order and/or retail pharmacy setting
  • Previous call center experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Telephonic skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying and resolving complex issues, while actively facilitating and motivating team-based collaborative approaches.
  • Work well in a group
  • Demonstrates a consistently positive approach, exhibiting high levels of energy and initiative in independently undertaking and completing tasks.

Language Proficiency Information

Any Humana employee who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Travel

While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
