Role Description

    This role involves supporting individuals diagnosed with cancer by providing non-clinical assistance and information through a member call center.
  • Answer calls and provide support in understanding cancer types, diagnostic testing, treatment, and prevention.
  • Direct callers to general support resources and prepare them for doctor visits.
  • Maintain empathy and knowledge during calls through mindful communication.
  • Redirect members to their care team for treatment-related decisions.
  • Follow procedures for preparation, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Contribute to maintaining or improving the established NPS Score.
  • Create oncology abstract narratives for specialty physician review.
  • Organize relevant medical records for oncology summaries.
  • Document workflow processes in the electronic data system.
  • Support continuous improvement by sharing ideas and engaging with the team.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail in reviewing medical records.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize technologies to improve work efficiencies.
  • Maintain confidentiality with integrity and honesty.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; AA and 2 years of experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • Three (3) or more years of related experience in clinical oncology, research oncology, or telephonic nursing support.
  • Current RN license; required to be licensed in all 50 states within 6 months of hire.
    Requirements
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • Multi-State RN license, OCN, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification (preferred).
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in telephonic nursing support, triage nursing, or telehealth nursing.
  • Fluency in Spanish (speak, read, write) is preferred.
  • Experience as a clinical research coordinator/nurse.
  • Experience working in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, MS Office Suite, Zoom, Slack, Teams, and/or Adobe Acrobat Pro.
