Job description: Position SummaryThe Accounting Associate is responsible for providing bookkeeping and financial services tailored to client needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, collaboration, and adaptability to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting operations. The Accounting Associate will engage with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure seamless financialworkflows and compliance with company policies and procedures.This position is 100% remote with flexible work hours. The role will be full-time, hourly.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Accounting Associate is expected to:Financial Recordkeeping & TransactionsâRecord financial transactions accurately in client accounting software.âManage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll,Benefits Administration, and Inventory Management as assigned.âMaintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.âReconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financialaccuracy.Reporting & ComplianceâPrepare and review financial reports to support business decision-making.âEnsure compliance with applicable tax, payroll, and accountingregulations.âAssist in year-end financial processes, including tax filings and auditsupport.Client & Team CommunicationâRespond to client inquiries in a professional and timely manner (within24 hours).âCommunicate financial concepts clearly and concisely to clients andstakeholders.âCollaborate with team members to share best practices and improveefficiency.âSupport internal process improvements and contribute to thecompany's continuous improvement initiatives.Other ResponsibilitiesâMaintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive financial data.âComplete tasks within assigned budgets and deadlines.âPerform other duties as assigned by management.Qualifications & CompetenciesRequired QualificationsâEducation: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field(or equivalent experience).âExperience: Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping and financialoperations experience.âSoftware Proficiency: Advanced experience with QuickBooks Desktop& Online, MS Office 365.âTechnical Skills:oStrong understanding of GAAP principles.oAbility to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.oExperience with financial reporting, reconciliation, and payrollprocessing.âProject Management: Strong project management and prioritizationskills, with the ability to handle competing deadlines effectively.âCommunication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate financialinformation in an easy-to-understand manner.Preferred QualificationsâExperience working with businesses across various industries andcompany sizes.âExperience at least 1 year in a remote role.âFamiliarity with Teamwork, Bill, RAMP, and other cloud-basedaccounting tools.âFamiliarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsâWork Environment: This is a fully remote position. The employee musthave a reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace.âPhysical Requirements: Regular use of a computer, includingextended periods of screen time. Occasional participation in virtualmeetings.
Expected salary: $28 - 30 per hour
