As a Customer Service Representative - Medical Claims at careerzynith, you will be responsible for processing medical claims, communicating with providers, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. You will serve as the primary liaison with callers, following client specifications to assist with questions and solve problems related to the claims process and servicing processes. Your expertise will be recognized as a general technical expert in the health benefits program, and you will be responsible for expediting the claims process and providing detailed claim notes on all calls.

  • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Acts as primary liaison with callers, following client specifications to assist with questions and solve problems related to the claims process and servicing processes.
  • Educates and informs customers via multiple communication channels about documentation required to process a claim, required time frames, payment information, and claim status.
  • Educates members and providers on client requirements and benefit plans, documenting all required details of the call in a concise professional manner.
  • Enters verbal and written application information that meets both internal and external customer requirements accurately into the claims management system.
  • Assigns new claims to the appropriate claims handler.
  • Directs customer calls to the appropriate contact at multiple locations or escalates to Service Center Specialist/management as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, supporting the organization's quality program(s).
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • 2+ years of experience in medical claims or customer service, with a strong background in resolving complex issues.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to work a set shift, with options for 8:00am - 4:30pm, 8:30am - 5:00pm, or 11:30am - 8:00pm.
  • 90-day duration, with the option for extension.
  • Remote work arrangement, with a minimum IT requirement of a reliable computer, internet connection, and phone.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
