India-Based Freelancer Recruiter & Creative Project Coordinator (Fashion + Marketing) - Contract to Hire
Hi there!
We’re a growing lifestyle and jewellery brand expanding into plus size Resortwear and Indian-Western Fusion clothing, and we’re looking for a smart, resourceful, and reliable recruiter/project coordinator based in India to help us build our dream team of freelancers.
We’re based overseas, so we need someone who understands the Indian creative and production landscape and can act as our go-to person for sourcing, vetting, and managing local freelancers for specific projects. Think: fashion designers, patternmakers, tailors, video editors, digital marketers, manufacturers—and beyond.
This is a freelance role, perfect for someone who’s organised, has a strong eye for design and quality, and loves working behind the scenes to help creative ideas come to life.
What You’ll Help With:
Finding and recruiting freelancers in India:
- Clothing designers (specialising in resortwear or Indo-Western)
- Sample makers, manufacturers, tailors, and patternmakers
- Digital marketers, video editors, and content creators for social media
Helping us source and compare production houses and small-batch manufacturers
Coordinating short-term freelance projects (e.g. video ads, lookbooks, influencer campaigns)
Vetting candidates and presenting top 2–3 per brief
Managing communication, feedback, and timelines with freelancers
Occasional light admin related to sourcing and project management
Must-Haves:
Based in India and fluent in English
Experience sourcing freelancers via Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer.in, or local platforms
Strong organisational and communication skills
Tasteful eye for fashion and branding
Ability to coordinate multiple moving parts and meet deadlines
Bonus Points If You:
Have your own network of creatives or factories
Understand basic garment construction or have worked in fashion/digital production
Have experience coordinating influencer campaigns or video content for product launches
We’re starting with freelance/project-based work, but there’s strong potential for an ongoing role as we grow.
