Insider Risk Analyst
- Description:
- Conduct comprehensive investigations and analysis supporting SpaceX intellectual property and security.
- Collect, analyze, and triage insider threat and anomalous event data, including indicators of data exfiltration and data destruction.
- Use network monitoring and data analytics tools such as DLP, SIEM, and UEBA to identify suspicious activity and underlying trends.
- Work internal investigations with Information Security, HR, Legal, Government Security, Physical Security, and external partners.
- Extract, organize, and analyze insider threat program data to build metrics, reports, and case studies.
- Communicate findings accurately and on time to team members, management, and other stakeholders.
- Support employee training and briefings for internal and external audiences.
- Liaise with external industry and government partners to benchmark insider threat programs and share threat intelligence.
- Continuously identify and help implement program improvements.
- Manage and safeguard sensitive information, including case files, employee PII, and intelligence reports.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional experience in internal investigations, information security, or IT, or 4+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- 1+ year using a SIEM such as Splunk, Panther, or Exabeam, and/or conducting digital forensic investigations in government or corporate environments.
- Working-level understanding of insider threat program missions, internal stakeholders, and manifestations of insider threats.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Purview for eDiscovery.
- Experience conducting preliminary assessments, defining scope, planning investigations, collecting and handling evidence, interviewing, and reporting findings.
- Ability to conduct interviews on short notice according to established internal guidelines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to swiftly adapt to new technical environments and workflows.
- Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality while handling highly sensitive tasks.
- Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be willing to travel ad hoc.
- Active TS/SCI clearance, or ability to obtain one.
- Must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
- Benefits:
- Base salary range of $85,000-$100,000 for Investigations Analyst/Level I and $95,000-$120,000 for Investigations Analyst/Level II.
