Overview
A respected law firm is seeking mid-level Intellectual Property (Patent) Transactions Associates (multiple levels) with a minimum of three years of experience focused on patent acquisition, licensing, and related patent transactions. Previous transactions experience is highly desirable for this role.
This is a fully remote position for candidates residing in the approved states listed above. The firm's main office is in North Carolina.
- This opportunity is ideal for an attorney whose practice has been primarily concentrated on patent-focused transactional work, rather than general technology transactions (though limited overlap is acceptable). The role offers the chance to work on sophisticated intellectual property deals in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate patent acquisition and licensing agreements
- Manage transactional matters involving patent transfers and commercialization
- Support complex IP transactions across various industries
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on high-value and strategic patent deals
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice related to patent assets Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 3 years of experience focused on patent acquisition and licensing
- Strong foundation in patent law and patent-related commercial agreements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactional matters
- Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
