    As an Intermediate SEO Specialist, you will:
  • Lead client calls and manage client relationships independently, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Develop and propose holistic SEO strategies that align with client KPIs, and then select and implement the tactics to execute those strategies.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and external partners, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
  • Coordinate with external partners and cross-departmental teams to execute SEO initiatives and integrate insights from various marketing efforts (EG: social media, email marketing) into a cohesive strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and stakeholder teams to understand the impact of SEO on lead generation and sales.
  • Plan and execute long-term (quarterly, annual) SEO strategies, including technical and content roadmaps.

Core Competencies & Experience

    The successful candidate will have proven experience in the following areas:
  • Strategy & Audits:
  • Conducting comprehensive audits, including technical, backlink, and content audits.
  • Developing and implementing content marketing strategies and persona playbooks.
  • Creating comprehensive content roadmaps and outlines.
  • Technical SEO & Implementation:
  • Working with various CMS platforms and coordinating with development teams on best practices for technical SEO, web infrastructure, and site architecture.
  • Managing web migration audits and providing consultation for SEO-led website migrations.
  • Executing on-page optimizations and redirect mapping.
  • Proficiency with analytics and tracking, including Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, custom event tracking, and call tracking, as well as third party tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
  • Data & Analysis:
  • Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Clarity, Agency Analytics, and Looker Studio for reporting and analysis.
  • Conducting page performance, CRO, and heat map analysis.
  • Emerging SEO Niches:
  • A foundational understanding and willingness to learn about emerging SEO fields such as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), AI Optimization (AIO), Large Language Model Optimization (LLMO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).
  • Digital Marketing Acumen:
  • A strong understanding of how SEO integrates with other digital marketing channels.
  • Familiarity with paid search and social media advertising platforms (EG: Meta, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Reddit) and the ability to answer basic questions about these channels on client calls.
  • Client Management & Communication:
  • Leading client meetings and presenting strategy and progress updates.
  • Experience delegating tasks and coordinating with internal and external teams.
    Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3-5 years of experience in an SEO-focused role, preferably within a digital marketing agency setting or a medium-to-large organization with direct ownership of SEO.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • A passion for continuous learning and adapting to a rapidly evolving digital marketing landscape.
  • An understanding of the relationship between SEO efforts and the sales/business KPIs.
  • Experience with a range of digital marketing & SEO tools – SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Suite of Tools (GA4, GSC, GTM, GBP, & more), etc.
  • Special consideration for candidates with experience using advanced SEO and CRO tools such as Botify, Microsoft Clarity, etc.
