Job description: Position Summary



The Inventory Manager develops, implements, and maintains all the procedures and protocols regarding proper inventory control for the purpose of maintaining accurate financial information. They are also responsible for the management and reporting of financial data of the organization. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company's accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.




Essential Functions of the Position



ยท Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.



ยท Examine the levels of supplies, raw material, and finished foods to determine accuracy.



ยท Document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory.



ยท Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments.



ยท Perform analysis to predict potential inventory problems.



ยท Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations



ยท Assisting with accounting month-end close procedures



ยท Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data



ยท Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.



ยท Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities



ยท Maintaining accurate financial records



ยท Organizing periodic physical count of all company inventory



ยท Other duties as assigned by manager

Experiences / Education Requirements



ยท Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field



ยท Proven experience as inventory manager or similar position



ยท 3+ years of experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment



ยท Experience with accounting and financial software



ยท Experience with ERP Systems / Internet Applications
