IT Database Administrator/Developer
Sparus Holdings is hiring an
IT Database Administrator / Developer to support and optimize our database environment across on-prem and cloud platforms, with a strong focus on
Microsoft Azure
. This role will lead database administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, security, automation, and data integration efforts while partnering closely with infrastructure, development, and data teams.
- What You’ll Do
- Manage
- Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs
- Support database platforms including
- SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB
- Build and maintain ETL/data workflows using
- Azure Data Factory, Synapse pipelines, and Logic Apps
- Improve performance, monitoring, security, backup/recovery, and HA/DR strategies
- Automate deployments and changes using
- Azure DevOps, ARM/Bicep, Azure CLI, and PowerShell
- Create documentation, runbooks, and technical standards
- What You Bring
- 7+ years of database administration/development experience
- Strong expertise with
- Azure SQL, ADF, Synapse, Logic Apps, SQL scripting, performance tuning, and HA/DR
- Experience with
- Azure monitoring, security, and automation tools
- Strong collaboration, communication, and troubleshooting skills
