Job Summary:

The Ames Community School District is seeking an Assistant 8th Grade Girls Track Coach for the 2023-24 season. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Track Coach in running a competitive girls' track program, maintaining knowledge of all District policies and procedures, and creating a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment for all athletes and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Track Coach in running a competitive girls' track program


• Maintain knowledge of all District policies and procedures


• Abide by strict confidentiality at all times


• Attend work on a consistent and punctual basis


• Create a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment for all athletes and families


• Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Current Department of Education Coaching Authorization


• Preferred: Experience coaching cross country or track at the high school or middle school level
