Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Disability, Workers' Compensation, and Leaves Specialist to join our team at Workwarp. As a subject matter expert in disability, leaves, and workers' compensation benefits, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day administration of our Disability and Leave Programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and minimizing financial risk to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage the day-to-day administration of Disability and Leave Programs, including claims management and communication with employees, managers, attorneys, and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs)

  • Serve as a professional subject matter expert, providing guidance and education to internal and external customers on company policies and procedures related to disability, leave, and workers' compensation claims

  • Identify trends in service concerns, recommend improvements, and develop vendor performance standards to ensure compliance with applicable state regulations and company policies

  • Work closely with TPAs, HR, and other stakeholders to identify, de-escalate, and document potential escalation situations, providing high levels of customer service and employee advocacy

  • Help streamline processes and identify areas of opportunity in the integrated Work Comp and Disability Programs

Minimum Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years of direct experience in disability, leave, or workers' compensation claims management and/or TPA vendor oversight

  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and respond quickly to high-priority requests

  • Experience with Access, Excel, MS Office suite, and SAP

  • Understanding of technical claims procedures, medical protocols, and insurance industry best practices

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, human resources management, or a related field

  • Experience in aviation or a related industry
