Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional support to students, working one-on-one or in small groups, under the direction of the teacher
- Assist with classroom activities, including preparing materials, supervising students, and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Support students with independent assignments, enrichment activities, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers to develop instructional strategies and materials
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as supervising students during lunch, recess, and assemblies
Requirements:
- Hold a teacher or teacher aide certification in Illinois (or high school diploma)
- Be in good health, as proven by a physical examination
- Pass police and hospital tests, as designated by the district
- Demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
