Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Title 1 Para, Class Assistant to join our team at Adams 12 Five Star Schools in Thornton, CO. As a Class Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic success, implementing instruction, and reinforcing learning skills in a Title I designated school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with classroom activities, including tutoring and small group instruction


• Implement teacher's instruction plan and provide age-appropriate educational activities


• Supervise in-person students during remote learning and ensure student safety and security


• Assist teachers with preparing materials, administering tests, and grading


• Monitor students during breaks, recess, and field trips

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• Meet one of the following requirements: AA or 2-year college degree, completion of 48 college semester hours, passing of state CDE approved paraprofessional examination, or completion of Personal Commitment Plan


• No experience required, but experience working with school-age children is preferred


• Proficiency in Spanish required for Dual Language Program positions
