Our client, a renowned leader in aerospace innovation, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Aeronautical Engineer to spearhead the development and integration of advanced aircraft systems. This role demands exceptional technical leadership, a profound understanding of aerodynamics, structural mechanics, propulsion, and avionic systems, and a proven track record in managing complex engineering projects from conception through to certification. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for strategic collaboration and focused independent work.

Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of aeronautical engineers in the design, analysis, and testing of aircraft systems. Oversee the development lifecycle of critical aircraft components and subsystems, ensuring performance, reliability, and safety. Conduct complex aerodynamic and structural analyses using advanced simulation tools (e.g., CFD, FEA). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and program management, to ensure seamless project execution. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for aircraft systems, including ground and flight testing. Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and certification standards (e.g., FAA, EASA). Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Identify and implement innovative engineering solutions to overcome design challenges and improve system performance. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Contribute to the company's strategic direction in aircraft design and technology development.
Qualifications: Master's or PhD in Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aeronautical engineering, with a significant portion in leadership roles. Deep expertise in aircraft systems design, including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, and structures. Proficiency in CAD/CAE software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent. Strong understanding of aerospace materials and manufacturing processes. Demonstrated experience with aircraft certification processes. Exceptional leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate with diverse teams. Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, adapting to both collaborative and independent work structures. Security clearance may be required for certain projects.
