Our client is a major telecommunications provider seeking a highly skilled and visionary Lead Telecom Network Architect to design and evolve their next-generation network infrastructure in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma . This critical role will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure telecommunications networks, including 5G, fiber optics, and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in network architecture, a deep understanding of emerging telecom technologies, and strong leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:
Design and architect end-to-end telecommunications networks, including core, transport, and access layers. Develop strategic roadmaps for network evolution, incorporating new technologies such as 5G, SDN/NFV, and edge computing. Create detailed network designs, diagrams, and technical specifications. Evaluate and recommend new network technologies, equipment, and software solutions. Ensure network designs meet performance, scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency objectives. Collaborate with network engineering, operations, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Lead technical reviews and provide expert guidance on network design best practices. Develop and implement network capacity planning strategies. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in the telecommunications space. Mentor junior network engineers and architects. Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in telecommunications network design and architecture. Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale IP networks, wireless networks (4G/5G), and fiber optic transport networks. In-depth knowledge of SDN, NFV, cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization technologies. Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and network security principles. Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, JNCIE) are highly desirable.
