About the Role
As a Production Supervisor at 3M, you will collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world and make a significant impact by:
- Guiding activities and personnel to ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste in an environmentally conscious and productive manner.
- Cultivating and leading a team through cross-training activities, cooperation, innovation, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Scheduling work priorities, allocating work assignments, communicating expectations, and monitoring workflow.
- Providing coaching and feedback to employees and utilizing corrective action to resolve conflicts and inappropriate behaviors.
- Training employees on all aspects of the Cottage Grove operations and processes.
- Ensuring a safe work environment by reviewing production processes, EHS requirements, and recognizing and resolving safety-related problems.
Requirements and Qualifications
To set you up for success in this role, 3M requires:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- OR High School diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of combined experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed further in this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Experience in project leadership, team leadership, supervisory, and/or management.
- Self-directed and detail-oriented with good interpersonal, communication, prioritization, organizational skills, and computer skills.
