Location: Zion, IL
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week
Contract Dates: August 12, 2025 – May 28, 2026 (2025–2026 School Year)
Caseload: Approximately 100–125 students (subject to assignment)
Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Middle School Science Teacher for a full-time, school-based role in Zion, IL. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the academic needs of middle school students in science.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support in academic science content, tailored to meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement instructional goals and methods aligned with district curriculum and standards
- Regularly communicate with parents and team members to exchange updates and support student success
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement using formal and informal tools to inform instruction
- Prepare for and actively participate in IEP/ARD meetings related to student programming and services when applicable
- Requirements:
- Valid Illinois teaching certification with appropriate endorsement for middle school science
- Experience working in middle school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based science instruction, technology integration, and differentiated teaching strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain consistent documentation
