Mobile Developer - Motion Sensor stabilization for video game
The Dancealmighty.com team is seeking a specialized Mobile Developer with expertise in stablizing motion sensor data (IMU, accelerometers, gyroscopes). We are a step away from releasing our mobile dance game--Dancealmighty.com, but we are having trouble stablizing the motion sensor data. The ideal candidate will translate raw data from sensors into real-time in-game movement.
- Responsibilities
- Sensor Integration: Implement and integrate data from inertial measurement units (IMUs), accelerometers, and gyroscopes into Unity via C#.
- Gesture & Motion Development: Develop algorithms for real-time gesture recognition, motion tracking, and physical motion mapping.
- Optimization: Optimize sensor data processing to ensure low-latency, high-performance gameplay on target devices.
- Feature Development: Create engaging game mechanics and interactive experiences based on physical movement.
- Debugging/Collaboration: Debug complex sensor hardware integration issues and collaborate with team members to enhance the user experience. Toptal +7
- Required Skills and Qualifications
- Unity Expertise: Proficient in Unity Engine and C# scripting.
- Sensor Knowledge: Strong understanding of motion sensor technologies (accelerometer, gyroscope, IMU) and data filtering techniques (e.g., Kalman filters, complementary filters).
- Mathematics: Strong grasp of 3D mathematics, quaternions, and linear algebra for rotational data.
- Performance Optimization: Experience optimizing code for mobile or wearable devices.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware-software communication issues. Toptal +4
- Preferred Qualifications
