Rental Consulting, in collaboration with Optum, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Medical Billing Specialist to support multi-specialty billing operations. This is a hybrid role based in Nevada (NV), allowing a mix of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate brings expertise in managing AR for multiple medical specialties and has experience with payor guidelines, denials, and follow-ups.

    Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage AR workflows for multiple specialties including internal medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, and more.
  • Submit claims, resolve billing edits, and verify coding compliance for different providers and services.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims with insurance companies and patients.
  • Identify denial patterns and coordinate appeal processes.
  • Track aging reports and work toward AR reduction goals.
  • Collaborate with coding and revenue teams for billing alignment.
  • Assist with patient inquiries related to balances or EOB interpretation.
    Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s in healthcare administration preferred.
  • 2+ years of medical billing experience in a multi-specialty setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EOBs, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and claim submission portals.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers.
  • Comfortable working within billing software (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, Kareo).
  • Based in Nevada and available for periodic on-site meetings.
  • Strong communication and AR resolution skills.
