We're searching for a skilled MySQL DBA to manage and maintain our MySQL databases. You'll collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our data infrastructure.
- Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases and related infrastructure.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
- Implement and manage database security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and storage management.
- Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide database solutions.
- Conduct database capacity planning and scaling to meet business needs.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in MySQL and related database technologies.
- Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA.
- In-depth knowledge of MySQL database architecture, configuration, and administration.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and procedures.
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MySQL Database Administrator) are a plus.
