Occupational Therapist School Setting - Nashua, NH
Step into a rewarding role providing occupational therapy services to students across both elementary and high school settings for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position is ideal for professionals experienced in school-based OT who thrive in dynamic, student-centered environments.
From September 1st to June 15th, you’ll work full-time, totaling 31 hours per week and serving as an itinerant OT, delivering crucial support to a varied student population. While the exact caseload will be finalized closer to the start date, you can expect opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and positively impact students’ educational experiences.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license valid in New Hampshire
- Background in school-based OT, with comfort working across K-12 (elementary and high school experience preferred)
- Knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and special education compliance
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and other specialists
- Ability to manage a flexible, changing caseload and work independently across multiple locations
- Previous work as an itinerant OT is an asset
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in both individual and small-group settings
- Maintain comprehensive, timely records and documentation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and school team discussions
- Provide training or support for staff and families as needed
