Online Social Worker | Michigan
A contract position is available for a Social Worker skilled in telehealth and school-based services, located in Portage, MI. This opportunity involves supporting special education students requiring social work services as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Key responsibilities include:
- Providing telehealth and in-person social work services to a current caseload of 10 special education students.
- Collaborating with educational staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Assessing student needs and advocating for appropriate resources and interventions.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of services and progress in compliance with regulatory and school policies.
- Facilitating communication between students, families, and school personnel to enhance social-emotional development and academic success.
- Desired qualifications and experience:
- Licensed social worker with relevant state certification.
- Experience delivering social work services in school settings, particularly with special education populations.
- Proficiency in telehealth service delivery and related technologies.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while providing compassionate, student-centered care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
