About the position
- Responsibilities
- Receive and dispatch information in the Centralized Dispatch Center.
- Coordinate processes related to public service dispatching.
- Perform general office record keeping, typing, and filing duties.
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in on-the-job training and skill development.
- Requirements
- Two years of dispatch operations experience, two-way radio operation experience, or complex clerical experience.
- Possession of a valid Public Safety Telecommunicator certificate may substitute for six months of required experience.
- Possession of a valid Pennsylvania hunting license may substitute for three months of required experience.
- Must possess a clear, firm voice and no major speech, hearing, or visual impairments that would interfere with communication.
- Must be able to obtain CLEAN and JNET certification within the probationary period.
