People Operations Generalist / Recruiter
The Opportunity:
As a People Operations Generalist / Recruiter at Javvy, you’ll play a key role in building and supporting the team behind one of the fastest-growing beverage brands in the U.S. This is a hybrid role across talent acquisition and HR operations, where you’ll own both hiring and core People Ops responsibilities.
This role is structured as a 6-month contract, with the potential to extend or convert to a full-time position based on company needs at the end of the contract period.
You’ll partner closely with the Head of People Operations and hiring managers to bring in top talent, deliver a strong employee experience, and ensure our people systems scale effectively as we grow.
The role will begin with a 1–2 month onboarding and ramp period, followed by primary ownership of day-to-day HR operations during a maternity leave coverage period. When the Head of People Operations returns, there will be a transition overlap period to ensure continuity and a smooth handoff.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and sees themselves as both a recruiter and an HR generalist—not one or the other.
What You’ll Own:
Talent Acquisition & Hiring Operations
Own full-cycle recruiting from sourcing to offer across a variety of roles
Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, and referrals
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and ideal candidate profiles
Conduct screening calls and assess candidates for both skill and culture fit
Coordinate interviews and keep the hiring process organized and moving efficiently
Deliver a high-quality candidate experience from first touch through offer acceptance
HR Operations & Employee Experience
Own onboarding logistics and ensure new hires have a smooth, consistent start
Partner with managers to set new employees up for success
Support HR systems (Rippling or similar), employee records, and documentation
Support and help run benefits administration, PTO tracking, payroll coordination, and compliance tasks
Help maintain and improve HR policies, org charts, and internal documentation
Assist with employee relations matters and escalate when appropriate
You’re a Fit If…
You have 3–5 years of experience across both recruiting and HR operations
You’ve owned full-cycle recruiting and are confident managing multiple roles at once
You have hands-on experience supporting core HR functions (systems, benefits, employee support, documentation, etc.)
You’re comfortable switching between recruiting and HR work in the same week
You ideally have experience in CPG, food, or beverage, and/or a fast-growing startup environment
You’ve worked at a small or scaling company and are comfortable with ambiguity
You’re highly organized and keep processes moving without constant oversight
You’re a strong communicator with good instincts for people and culture fit
You’re resourceful, scrappy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
You’re detail-oriented and can handle sensitive information with discretion
