Military Affiliated Human Resources Role

Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. The following position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. This remote role requires human resources experience, and working knowledge of HRIS, HR principles, HR practices and HR procedures. Locations not eligible: California, DC (Washington DC), Illinois, Iowa, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island.

This role is essential in ensuring employee records are complete, organized, and compliant with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, uphold a high standard of ethics and confidentiality, and be proficient in using HR software and systems. Familiarity with HR regulations, onboarding/offboarding processes, and electronic file management is essential. This position primarily supports the following functional areas: onboarding coordination, digital file creation and maintenance, new hire communication and other administrative HR support tasks.

Essential functions include managing all initial interactions with new employees, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and providing comprehensive support throughout the onboarding lifecycle. Create, maintain, and manage accurate digital personnel files, ensuring all required documentation is complete, current, and compliant with company standards. Upload, label, organize, and maintain employee records within designated file structures and systems in accordance with internal processes and compliance requirements. Conduct routine audits of personnel files and HR documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and regulatory compliance. Maintain and update employee information within the HRIS and other internal platforms; assist with reporting and data validation as needed. Support People Operations communications by monitoring shared inboxes and responding to employee and internal stakeholder inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and benefits-related regulations. Provide administrative support to the People Operations team, including data entry, document tracking, file maintenance, and process support. Assist with file clean-up initiatives, document retention practices, and version control processes to support operational efficiency and audit readiness. Handle sensitive employee and company information with a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of People Operations initiatives and business needs.
