Excellent opportunity to join our company and help with our expanding Specialty Pharmacy program! CareMed Specialty Pharmacy is Seeking a Prescription Setup / Data Entry Pharmacy Technician for our Pharmacy in Louisville, KY.

This will be a Full-Time position Mondays through Fridays 9:30 AM-6:00 PM EST. We offer quarterly incentive bonuses, and this role may work remote after period of onsite training.

Starting salary from $20.00 an hour and up

    Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technicians...
  • Enters new and refill orders, performs oral and injectable dosage calculations.
  • Responsible for typing a high volume of scripts at a fast pace, with 100% accuracy.
  • Ensure that all prescriptions are billed in accordance with Medicare/DMEPOS regulations and that all required information is documented on the hardcopy prescription.
  • Must pay strict attention to detail and maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Rx Setup Department Director and Rx SetUp Department Supervisor.

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible
  • Good organizational skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
    Education:
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy
  • Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB), specialty pharmacy experience
    Experience:
  • Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years
  • Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years
    Skills/Knowledge:
  • Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes, and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
  • Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience
    License or certification:
  • Required: Pharmacy Technician registration/certification
  • Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
