Pharmacy Technician-Prescription Setup
Excellent opportunity to join our company and help with our expanding Specialty Pharmacy program! CareMed Specialty Pharmacy is Seeking a Prescription Setup / Data Entry Pharmacy Technician for our Pharmacy in Louisville, KY.
This will be a Full-Time position Mondays through Fridays 9:30 AM-6:00 PM EST. We offer quarterly incentive bonuses, and this role may work remote after period of onsite training.
Starting salary from $20.00 an hour and up

- Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technicians...
- Enters new and refill orders, performs oral and injectable dosage calculations.
- Responsible for typing a high volume of scripts at a fast pace, with 100% accuracy.
- Ensure that all prescriptions are billed in accordance with Medicare/DMEPOS regulations and that all required information is documented on the hardcopy prescription.
- Must pay strict attention to detail and maintain HIPAA patient confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Rx Setup Department Director and Rx SetUp Department Supervisor.

- Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, Previous Experience in Pharmacy
- Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB), specialty pharmacy experience
- Experience:
- Required: Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years
- Desired: Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years
- Skills/Knowledge:
- Required: Pharmacy or healthcare-related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes, and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
- Desired: Specialty pharmacy experience
- License or certification:
- Required: Pharmacy Technician registration/certification
- Desired: Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
