    **Overview:**We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Police Records Technician I to join our team! As a Police Records Technician I, you will be responsible for processing and auditing various records, including stolen autos, missing persons, fraud, and forgery and protection orders. You will also be responsible for providing audit, entry, indexing, storage, maintenance, retrieval, and dissemination of Police Department records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. **Responsibilities:**
    * Process and audit a variety of records, including stolen autos, missing persons, fraud, and forgery and protection orders

  • Provide audit, entry, indexing, storage, maintenance, retrieval, and dissemination of Police Department records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations
  • Collect monies for the sale of police reports and photographic fees when applicable
  • Perform related duties as assigned
    **Qualifications:**
    * High school diploma or equivalent with one year experience of related duties is preferred
  • Ability to maintain multiple computer systems at one time
  • Must be able to work rapidly, accurately, and process cash record sales according to procedure
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and demonstrate initiative within established guidelines
  • Must pass a typing test (35 wpm) and a written examination on the Missouri Sunshine Laws
  • Must complete NIMS training and be MULES certified within the first six months of hiring
  • Background check, drug test, polygraph test, oral board interview, and psychological examination required
