Job Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, flexible hours with required core availability from 10AM–2PM PST

Duration: 3-month contract (with strong potential for extension or FTE conversion)

Location: Remote

Support the migration of enterprise reporting from on-prem SQL Server to Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Lake environments
Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models using DAX, Power Query M, and Power Automate
Reverse-engineer legacy ETL/reporting pipelines and modernize them for cloud-based delivery
Assist with the creation and maintenance of Fabric Dataflows, Pipelines, and semantic models
Collaborate with a lean BI team to deliver timely insights, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data governance and performance
Provide technical guidance and support for internal reporting workflows and downstream consumers
Analyze structured schema modules and build scalable, reusable reporting solutions aligned to business needs
5+ years of experience in BI/reporting roles with a strong backend focus
Expertise in Power BI, including:
Power Query M
DAX
Power Automate
Proficient in SQL and experienced in ETL workflows (SSIS, ADF, Dataflows Gen2, etc.)
Familiarity or working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (including Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake concepts)
Experience with data warehouse and data lake environments

Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Snowflake experience
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work independently
Adaptable, self-driven, and excited to work in a mission-driven, resource-lean environment
