About the Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team as a Technical Subject Matter Expert/Individual Contributor. As a leader in DevOps, you'll drive organizational transformation by developing and implementing cutting-edge tooling, practices, and culture. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our enterprise-wide requirements and ensuring the adoption of best practices, including visibility, scalability, availability, security, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead DevOps strategy, covering design, development of tools, practices, and culture.

  • Establish and enforce DevOps best practices, including version control, code review, automated testing, and deployment techniques.

  • Design and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to provision and manage resources across cloud environments.

  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar, ensuring fast and reliable application deployment.

  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure teams adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and analyze DevOps pipelines and practices, identifying areas for improvement, optimization, and automation to enhance launch/rollback consistency and accuracy.

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices, and make recommendations for their adoption within the organization's DevOps environment.

  • Coach and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:


  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience working in open cloud environments, preferably GCP, Azure, or AWS, and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code concepts and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for automating resource provisioning and configuration.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or similar.

  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex DevOps platform issues and provide effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following skills and experience will be a significant advantage:


  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Cloud Logging Solutions) to ensure application performance and system health.

  • Understanding of security best practices in DevOps, including experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance frameworks, and secure deployment practices.

  • Experience with Generative AI and/or GitLab.

  • Leadership experience, including mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
