    Position: Program Analyst with Security ClearanceDuties Help
  • The incumbent serves as a program analyst for MCFP within the Office of Spouse Employment (OSE) focused on spouse education and career policies for the military spouse community.
  • Identify and execute virtual and in person engagement opportunities to promote OSE programs and resources with the overarching goal of reducing the military spouse unemployment rate.
  • Conduct special assignments on complex high-priority issues.
  • Investigate potential problem areas to propose solutions.
  • Facilitate senior leader engagements on spouse employment topics and visits to include itinerary development, logistics support, read ahead and talking points/remarks development.
  • Deliver presentations and provide training to military and civilian audiences on programs and services available for service members and their families. Requirements Help Conditions of employment
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes identifying, building, and/or managing strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders on military spouse employment initiatives such as: state/local government, nonprofit organizations, military service organizations, and other community support organizations that support military families, subject matter expertise on military spouse employment programs within Department of Defense, other federal agencies, and external organizations with ability to understand the whole landscape, reduce redundancies, identify gaps in employment resources, and build strategic plans for collaboration across sectors, advanced public speaking experience including briefing senior leaders and giving presentations on spouse employment resources to large audiences with various ranges of knowledge of programs, regularly managing and tracking relationships that foster strategic collaboration and aligning partnerships with measurable objectives.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
