Program Specialist (Part-Time Position)
Cause Strategy Partners seeks a wildly talented, deeply passionate and incredibly fun mission-driven professional to join our team. The Program Specialist will work closely with the Lead, Strategic Initiatives to drive high-impact nonprofit board placement, training and support.
In this role, the Program Specialist will provide critical data management, analysis, and research support for Cause Strategy Partners’ programs & services, including BoardLead, the Executive Director Performance Assessment (EDPA), the Alexandra Hallock Grant opportunity, Concierge, and training.
The Program
Specialist may also support external relationship building and management, providing regular thoughtful feedback on systems and processes to improve our work. After 12 weeks in this role, program leadership will determine whether there is ongoing need for support.
- The Program Specialist will be responsible for:
- Supporting BoardLead CRM implementation, data management, and system integrity:
- Consolidate and audit data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Support data migration, cleanup, and validation during CRM transitions
- Maintain and update organizational data within the CRM systems
- Generate reports, lists, and other data to support program delivery and decision-making
- Collaborating with the Lead, Strategic Initiatives to ensure a successful EDPA pilot:
- Encourage survey responses, manage data, and build reports for partners
- Maintain data management standards, naming conventions, and quality control processes
- Contributing to evaluation, impact measurement, data collection, and insight generation:
- Consolidate, clean, and validate survey and program data from multiple sources
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across evaluation efforts
- Support building reports and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, insights, and impact
- Contribute to cross-program learning by synthesizing findings across initiatives
- Support development, preparation, and launch of new and existing programs and services, including:
- Conduct research on nonprofits, partners, products, and markets to inform strategy
- Research and identify nonprofits in new and existing markets
- Research professional and nonprofit membership and convening organizations
- Process nonprofit nomination lists for partners, and provide updates on application rates, nonprofit selection, candidate elections, and engagement outcomes
- Support development of training, webinar, and other session materials and reports, including tracking session registration, participation, satisfaction, and outcomes
- Supporting nonprofit outreach, applications, and selection across programs and services, as needed:
- Conduct outreach calls to inform organizations about various programs and services, answer questions and encourage participation
- Communicate via email to inform organizations about various programs and services, answer questions and encourage participation
- Track and manage nonprofit communications and engagement data
- Review nonprofit applications and conduct research to assess their fit with programmatic goals and priorities
- Conduct interviews with nonprofit Board Chairs, CEOs, leadership, and staff to assess nonprofit needs and alignment with programmatic goals and priorities
- Participate in nonprofit selection processes by contributing data and insights from application review and outreach
- Document and share feedback on program and service design, implementation, and outcomes to support continuous learning and improvement of tools, systems, and processes
- Supporting ongoing internal and external engagements in partnership with the Cause Strategy Partners team
- Performing other duties as necessary and assigned
