About The Role
As a Senior Manual QA Engineer, you will be a high-impact individual contributor responsible for ensuring the reliability and integrity of different systems that conform to the Faro Health ecosystem. You are not just a tester; you are a quality advocate who understands that clinical data requires a meticulous, detail-oriented approach.

Leveraging your deep expertise in SaaS, cloud-native architectures, and LLM-augmented workflows, you will analyze complex user requirements, design comprehensive test strategies, prepare and execute test cases, and serve as a mentor to junior and contractor engineers. You will play a critical role in our continuous integration environment while ensuring our manual testing foundation remains rock-solid.

    Qualifications
  • 8–10+ years of experience in the Quality Assurance discipline, with a proven track record in fast-moving, growth-minded startups.
  • Experience navigating from early-stage builds to scaled production environments.
  • Proactive expertise in leveraging Generative AI and LLM tools to augment manual testing, including synthesizing complex product requirements into comprehensive test cases and identifying edge cases.
  • Extensive experience testing cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and modern, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL for deep data validation and backend integrity testing.
  • Strong understanding of black-box and white-box testing methodologies, as well as non-functional testing principles such as performance, accessibility, and security.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical issues into business impact and maintaining proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to thrive in evolving environments, working effectively across different time zones and fostering a culture of quality.
  • Hands-on experience with QA tools such as Jira and QASE.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with the "shift-left" approach and transitioning from manual to automation workflows.
    Responsibilities
  • Analyze user requirements and design documents to develop detailed, risk-based test plans and manual test cases for complex SaaS platforms.
  • Lead the execution of functional, regression, and integration tests, documenting defects with high precision and providing comprehensive testing summaries.
  • Utilize SQL queries to analyze, manipulate, and validate test data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Evaluate software changes to assess their impact on platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA Engineers to enhance team efficiency and testing depth.
  • Coordinate with Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth information flow and collaboration.
  • Apply innovative QA methodologies to improve testing processes and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Monitor issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), triaging bugs and prioritizing high-impact issues reported by end-users.
  • Participate actively in design reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups to align testing activities with project goals.
