About the position

The Quality Assurance Test Analyst II position at Collins Consulting involves working within a cross-functional Agile development team to ensure the quality of transactional websites integrated with complex back-office applications.     Responsibilities
  • Be part of a cross-functional team of Agile testers, developers, and business users.

  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of the software development process and all aspects of Agile Quality Assurance.
  • ,
  • Deliver effective & comprehensive testing to ensure the highest quality software within the timeframe of Agile sprints.
  • ,
  • Familiar with automation frameworks and routinely edit and execute automated test scripts using automated testing tools.
  • ,
  • Manage defect tracking and defect maintenance and perform defect root cause analysis.
  • ,
  • Design tests that clearly convey the business rules and code they are checking.
  • ,
  • Develop and execute test strategy, test plans, test cases, acceptance testing and test scripts.
  • ,
  • Analyze and review data, test results and documents for consistency and accuracy.
  • ,
  • Assist QA team members with ensuring all test resources are utilized effectively.

  • Ensure that the appropriate level of testing has been identified through a Risk Based Testing approach for all test initiatives.

  • Work with Business partners on UAT and create UAT plans.

    Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in system-level QA Testing.
  • ,
  • Expert-level understanding of Web application testing and/or Webservice testing.
  • ,
  • Familiar with all stages of the SDLC and Software Quality Assurance testing including System, Integration, Regression, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • ,
  • Experience with Agile Methodology.
  • ,
  • Ability to write and understand basic SQL queries for data verification and test data setup.
  • ,
  • Experience with API tools like SOAPUI, Postman, or similar.
  • ,
  • Experience with testing tools such as QA Symphony, qTest, Borland Micro Focus Silk Central, HP Quality Center, Test Director, or similar.
  • ,
  • Experience with Defect Management tools such as Jira or Bugzilla.
  • ,
  • Experienced with test automation frameworks like Cucumber, FitNesse, TestNG, or Selenium.
  • ,
  • Familiar with the concepts of TDD (test-driven development) and its application in Agile testing.
  • ,
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
