The City of Portland-Oregon is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Recreation Employment team at Music and Arts Centers. Plan and coordinate music and arts programs and events for the community, ensuring they align with the city's goals and objectives.
Develop and maintain relationships with local musicians, artists, and community organizations to collaborate on program ideas and partnerships.
Create and manage program budgets, including securing sponsorships and grants.
Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers to assist with program implementation.
Market and promote programs to increase community awareness and participation.
Ensure programs are inclusive and accessible to all members of the community, regardless of background or ability.
Monitor and evaluate program success and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Maintain accurate records and reports of program activities, attendance, and budget expenditures.
Provide excellent customer service to program participants and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in music and arts programming to continually improve and enhance offerings.
Collaborate with other city departments and community partners to coordinate and promote city-wide events and initiatives.
Uphold the city's policies and procedures and ensure the safety and well-being of all program participants.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Attend regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed on departmental updates and changes.
Other duties as assigned by the Recreation Employment Supervisor.
