Remote Accountant - Tax Bookkeeping Specialist

We're a forward-thinking CPA firm dedicated to providing top-notch services to small business clients, and we're seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as a Tax Bookkeeping Specialist. As a remote worker, you'll have the freedom to work from the comfort of your own home, with a flexible schedule of 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and review financial documents, including QuickBooks files, bank statements, and credit card statements from clients


• Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for businesses and individuals


• Utilize remote desktop software to access QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online for client management


• Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements, and prepare/update Balance sheet reconciliation Excel workbooks


• Communicate with clients to clarify missing information and update schedules as needed to assist in tax projections


• Collaborate with our team using Microsoft Teams and Monday.com to ensure seamless workflow and coordination

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred


• Minimum 2 years of accounting work experience and 2 years of tax work experience


• Experience with monthly close and QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online is a plus
